Wild Blackberry Foraging

June 22 | 9:00am – 11:30am

Welcome summer by foraging for wild blackberries on the Greystone Preserve. We’ll be picking blackberries off the numerous patches located throughout the property and then divvying up our pickings so everyone will go home with some of the delicious finds!
We may also be harvesting our first crop of blueberries from our young plants (additional cost of $2/pound).
Long pants, gloves, and a bucket/container for your berries recommended.

This event is FREE for current members, and $10 per person for guests, $5 for children, and includes all you can pick blackberries.

Please note: This is an outdoor nature event.  Please be aware that you will be walking through the woods, over rough and possibly muddy terrain, and that there are some basic safety concerns regarding foraging for wild plants.  All children will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver on their behalf before participation.  We will have waivers at the event for parents/guardians to sign.  If you will be bringing children for whom you are not the parent/legal guardian, please contact us ahead of time for a copy of the waiver. You are ultimately assuming responsibility for the safety of the children you bring to this event.
