Mimosas & Magnolias

April 28  |  9:30am or 1:00pm

Bring your friends for a morning or afternoon of mimosas, fresh spring air, and plenty of laughs as local artist Richard Worth guides you to create a one-of-a-kind painting of the elegant Southern Magnolia.

Don’t worry, we’ll have all the materials. No experience necessary to have a fabulous time and come home with your very own work of art!

Volunteer Days @ Greystone

April 14 & May 5  |  8:30am – 10:30am

Help us prepare for spring.  We’ll be getting the gardens ready, spreading mulch, and planting watermelon and squash seeds.  Come lend a hand and check out the new Greystone Pavilion.

Dancing Under the Stars

May 5 | 8:00pm – 11:00pm

Lace up your kicks and dance the night away at the beautiful Greystone open-air pavilion.  With views of the stars and nature preserve, this is a unique and festive way to spend a Saturday night, rocking out to the best music in an unbeatable location.

Includes: 30 minute introductory swing/hustle lesson, 2 1/2 hours of open dancing, soft drinks and snacks.  BYOB

Edible Forest Foraging

June 23 | 9:00am – 11:30am

Welcome summer by foraging for wild blackberries on the Greystone Preserve. We’ll be picking blackberries off the numerous patches located throughout the property and then divvying up our pickings so everyone will go home with some of the delicious finds!
Long pants and gloves recommended. We’ll provide a few berry buckets but if you have one, bring it along!

This event is free for members! If you’re not a member it’s $10/person or $20/family.

Land Conservation Workshop

September 20 | 9:00am

Learn how to earn some “green” while saving the family farm.  Join us
as representatives from Clemson Extension, the National Resource Conservation Service, the Longleaf Alliance, the Audubon Society, and the Land Trust provide us with real tools to earn money through the preservation of working forests, farms, and natural lands. Landowners, land managers, and financial management professionals are encouraged to attend.

Coffee and refreshments will be provided.  See the full agenda here.

Moonlight Hike

September 22 | 8:00pm

Hike the Greystone Preserve by twilight and moonlight and experience another world.  We’ll explore the forest at night, taking in the sounds and smells of nature instead of the typical sights.  If the weather’s good, we’ll celebrate with a campfire and s’mores afterwards, and maybe tell a few ghost stories too!

Craft Beer for Conservation

September 29 | 5:00pm-9:00pm

Join the CSRLT family at Riverwatch Brewery to enjoy a cold pint of Conservation Classic, a speciality brew made with herbs from our very own Greystone Preserve, or one of your Riverwatch favorites!
10% of your tab will go to the support the Land Trust and our community conservation efforts.

Greystone Volunteer Day

October 13 | 8:00am-11:00am

Help us prepare for fall! We’ll be getting the gardens ready for the fall and winter months, spreading mulch, and planting some pollinator friendly plants. Come lend a hand and check out the beautiful Greystone Preserve.

AU Day of Service

November 3 | 8:30am – 11:30am

Augusta University is a committed member of our local community.  Every year, the students, staff, and faculty of AU join together to volunteer their time for countless local organizations, including the Land Trust.  This year, we’ll be building all sorts of cool things on our Greystone Preserve, including a new home for our bees, arbors and benches for the campus, and planting more goodies in the food forest.

You don’t have to be a part of AU to lend a hand, either.  Sign up today and help beautify your community.

Holiday Wreath Making

Date TBD | 10am – 12pm

Get ready for the holidays and craft your own one-of-a-kind natural wreath for your front door (or anywhere!).  We’ll have local floral artists from Southern Landscaping, “Everything You Need Inside & Out”, leading you in making your own fresh wreath.  We’ll provide all the materials and the know-how.  Just bring your creativity… and get ready for some serious holiday cheer!

Hot spiked cider and light refreshments served.
