Edible Mushroom Foraging

February 16 | 9:00am – 12:00pm

Join
us as we learn the “Five Essential Things You Need to Know to Safely Forage Wild Mushrooms” from mycologist and expert Marty Colvin.

We’ll do some classroom learning with Marty, and then you’ll be free to hunt for your own mushrooms on the Preserve.  After you’re finished foraging, we’ll gather around the campfire, identify your finds, and maybe do a little taste-testing before you take home your mushrooms.

This event is hosted in partnership with Augusta Locally Grown.  Cost is $20 per person.

Proceeds benefit community gardens and edible forests.
